Dee Roof is a creative thinker with strengths in research, strategy, writing, design and presentation. She has experience with brainstorming, development, instruction, branding typography & marketing.
Her work has taken her from Philadelphia where she received a BFA in Graphic Design from Tyler School of Art, to Chicago, to Kansas City where she designed gift wrap & greetings for Hallmark Cards. In 2017, she accepted a graduate teaching assistantship at Kansas State University where she completed her MFA in Graphic Design. Graduating to the COVID-19 shutdown, she used her time to develop a line of products to help people to connect with biodiversity. For this collection she created illustrations & surface patterns, textile & print products, calendars with information about native plants and native bees, plus writing and photography for social media and email marketing.
Accolades include Rocket Grant from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Timothy R. Donoghue Graduate Scholarship, 2017 & 2018 at Kansas State University and First Place in the Perrier Art of Refreshment illustration contest.
